Last updated: November 4, 2026

Loop Local is operated by John-Paul Powers (sole proprietor), Acworth, GA. Loop Local text number: (678) 490-9970. See how to join Loop Local.

Texting is optional. Loop Local works fully by email, and you can join and use every part of the service without ever agreeing to receive text messages.

Who we are

Loop Local is an AI-assisted local business networking service for Cobb County, Georgia (including Marietta, East Cobb and Acworth). Loop Local is operated by John-Paul Powers, a sole proprietor based in Acworth, GA. Contact: loopforlooplocal@gmail.com.

SMS program description

Loop Local's text messaging program ("Loop") is a conversational assistant. Loop works as a personal assistant for each member: it replies to people who texted Loop or opted in themselves, shares verified local event information, sends reminders the member asked for, and helps the member keep track of their own saved contacts. Messages are conversational and sent only to people who have opted in themselves.

Who Loop texts. Loop texts only people who opted in themselves. Loop never texts contacts that a member shares, forwards, or scans (for example, from a business card), and members cannot use Loop to send marketing or promotional messages to anyone.

How you opt in to texts (optional)

Text messages are optional. You can join Loop Local with just your name and email. If you want texts, you can opt in in any of these ways:

  1. The optional box on our signup form. On the Join Loop Local form, entering a mobile number and checking the separate, unchecked-by-default text box is your request to receive conversational texts. Leaving it unchecked means we will not text you.
  2. Texting us first. Sending a text message to the Loop Local number, (678) 490-9970, is a request to receive conversational replies from Loop Local.
  3. Agreeing during onboarding. During onboarding (by email or in person), you may be asked whether you would also like texts and, if so, to explicitly agree to the following disclosure. Saying no does not affect your membership. We record your agreement with a timestamp.

You agree to receive conversational texts from Loop Local about local networking events and your Loop requests. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of joining Loop Local, of using any part of the service, or of any purchase. Everything Loop does is also available by email. More details: Join Loop Local.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your conversations with Loop. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.

Opting out and getting help

  • To stop messages, reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT or STOPALL) at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again. Opting out of texts does not end your membership; Loop Local continues by email. To opt back in, reply START.
  • For help, reply HELP (or INFO), or email loopforlooplocal@gmail.com.

Carrier disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy policy

What we collect. We collect your name, mobile phone number, email address, the area you live or work in, your industry, and the history of your conversations with Loop. We collect this information only to provide the Loop Local service, such as answering your questions, suggesting relevant events, and sending reminders you ask for.

What we do not do. We never share, sell, or rent your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Contact details are only exchanged between two people when both of them ask for it. We do not sell your personal information. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Tools that run the service. Loop runs on our SMS carrier and the AI and spreadsheet tools that operate the service. They process information only to run Loop Local and may not use it for their own marketing. This is not sharing for marketing.

Contact details between members. Contact details are only exchanged between two people when both of them ask for it.

Data retention and deletion. We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing loopforlooplocal@gmail.com or by texting us your request; we will delete it within 30 days, except for the minimal record of your opt-out that we must keep to honor it.
